Eden Pro Rider Training -
DSA Approved Motorcycle Training in Cumbria
Eden Pro Rider Training, offering high
quality Motorcycle Training, is located in Penrith, Cumbria on the edge
of the Eden Valley and to the west of the Pennines which is an area of
outstanding natural beauty. We are ideally situated with easy access to
the Northern Lakes, South West Scotland, The Borders, Northumbria, North
Yorkshire and County Durham.
For many years, both Cumbria and the Eden Valley have featured highly
with motorcyclists locally and nationally. Numerous reviews have
highlighted this area, especially Hartside (A686) as a "top rated ride"
in the UK and Western Europe. Those challenging roads, scenic views and
varied rides are all within our training area. In the south of the
county, "Devils Bridge, Kirkby Lonsdale" (A65) provides a stop off point
and time for that well earned break and refreshment.
Keswick, Kendal, Carlisle and West Cumbria provide essential town and
city defensive
commuter riding experience, linking into the main roads which further
enhance open road riding skills.
We offer a variety of courses from the new DSA Enhanced Rider Scheme
leading to a Rider Competency Certificate and potential for reduced
insurance renewal premiums upon its production. Advanced rider training
to the Institute of Advanced Motorists and RoSPA standards are
available, leading to the respective bodies advanced test.
With ever increasing leisure activity and popularity of motorcycling
nationally, together with those riders who return to biking after a "lay
off " period, we offer an opportunity to have your riding assessed by a
professional and complete a programme of re-skilling to modern day
machines. Developing riding techniques, highlighting current dangers and
trends equipping the rider with "live to ride, ride to live"
skills.
We have access to local accommodation, should you require us to assist
you in booking, please ask.
Eden Pro Rider Training is owned and operated by John Forrester, a
retired police officer, having served 29 years mainly within traffic
policing and a keen motorcycle
enthusiast. Having qualified as a police advanced
motorcyclist, he is able to use his experience and training to develop
other riders observations, planning, skills and handling - all essential
to coping with our currently heavily congested roads infrastructure.
Motorcycling is all about freedom but daily dangers exist and bikers are
all too often
injured or worse. We aim to provide essential skills to reduce the risk
to you and your pillion so you can enjoy the freedom of the roads with
confidence with your newly acquired riding skills.
Having completed a Police Advanced Motorcycle Course, I hold both IAM
and RoSPA Gold certificates. I also examine riders taking the RoSPA
Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates.
